German Helmet Chinstrap M35, M40, M42 Aged (old) Condition

This is a fully complete and aged WW2 German Helmet chin-strap, with optional makers markings.
This chinstrap is not washed out and sanded down like so many amateur made chin straps are, it is dark and properly aged to make it look as genuine as possible - quality counts!
These straps are the correct two colour leather - brown and black and are equipped with a steel buckle. The buckle is suitable aged and rusted in places. The leather has a lovely deep patina with discolouring to the brown leather. Notice the wrinkles in the leather to give it a further antique effect. The straps come with the steel fastening studs which again are aged.
There are 13 holes as per the majority of the originals (although 12 hole originals do exist). The makers mark is properly embossed into the leather and is not a weak ink stamp, as ink stamps were not used on Second World war helmet chinstraps. Now the really good part is that unlike other inferior reproductions, these chinstraps are still very strong and completely usable on re-enacting or display helmets! These are probably the best WWII German Chin straps on the market!
The pictures give an indication of how the straps look like, but each one is aged individually by hand and so has a unique character of its own. No two of our straps are identical!
The strap may be 'dry' when you receive it, just rub it with some olive oil or leather feed to give it a lovely deeper finish or if you want your straps to look darker or a bit more polished just use a bit of brown or black boot polish on them - simple!
