The 15th (Scottish) Infantry Division was an infantry division of the British Army that served with distinction in both World War I and World War II. They were the only division of the British Army during the Second World War to be involved in three of the six major European river assault crossings. Its battle casualties– killed, wounded and missing – in nearly eleven months of fighting were 11,772 with well over 1,500 men killed.
