U-96 U-Boat Cap Badge Aircraft Aluminium Aged. This reproduction badge is hand made as the original emblems were, they were not mass produced to factory specifications. It is made from aircraft grade aluminium and is in aged condition.
It can be attached to the cap by the two holes, top and bottom, using sewing thread. It is approximately 1mm thick, 65mm wide and 33mm tall.
This badge is in 'aged' condition which means no two will be identical, each one is unique!
It was made famous in the film 'Das Boot'. It was worn by the following U-Boats:U-96 (Heinrich Lehmann-Willenbrock), U-217, U-230, U-377, U-407, U-450, U-591, U-659, U-664, U-739 and U-954.
The 4th last few picture compares our new badge and our 'aged' version of this badge. We have also pictured some ideas for the badge such as making it 'three dimentional' by bending the edges using pliars and stamping the u-boat number on the rear. You have to make these modifications yourself!
