This is a reproine (REPROduction/genuINE), aged, Schirmmützen cap for a Cavalry NCO. The maker is EREL and has two makers marks, one in the crown and one on the leather sweat band. This cap is aged and ready for display. The cap and traditions skull are reproduction, the eagle and wreath are genuine.
It is a Cavalry NCO Visor cap, made of top quality wool and in the same method and materials as in the originals.
The skull insignia is museum quality and both eagle and wreath are genuine WW2. It has a vulkanfibre peak and leather sweatband.
The leather sweat band is in excellent condition with makers mark (EREL patent Stirnschutz), the celluloid sweat protector has a large makers mark. It also has the makers paper marking.
