The Ordnungspolizei (Orpo), encompassed virtually all of Nazi Germany's law-enforcement and emergency response organizations, including fire brigades, coast guard, and civil defense. Owing to their green uniforms, Orpo were also referred to as Grüne Polizei (green police). Police troops were first formed into battalion-sized formations for the invasion of Poland, where they were deployed for security and policing purposes.
This reproduction NCO's cap has been made from Wool & rayon material and has brown band and green piping. The insignia is not included.
The cap is made in Germany by EREL and has genuine leather liner, cork front padding, wool material, wire and metal front support and top shaper and green waffenfarbe.
