This Heer hkp (SE) helmet shell is genuine all the remaining parts including the paintwork is reproduction.
This helmet has been made up from some of the best suppliers in Europe. There are a few parts that are not 100% historically correct but it is probably the best reproduction available.
The helmet shell is a Model 1940 hkp (SE - Sächsische Emailler-und Stanzewerke) maker with 64 size marker & batch number 1017. The liner is suitable aged as is the maker marked chinstrap (1940) and the 'Eagle' is our museum quality reproduction. The shell show medium wear but many areas are starting to rust and are worn through the paintwork especially on the inside. The helmet is not textured and has been protected with museum wax (hence the lovely shine).
We have made this helmet to look medium used, found on the battlefield after a year or two and then stored for 70+ years.
If totallyoriginal this would probably sell for £1,500+ GBP.
