This is one of our worlds best ET71 reproduction helmets in aged condition. It is a M38 early war version of the paratrooper helmet in apple green paint with double decals. It has been finished in Normandy Camouflage paint scheme. It shows medium to heavy wear but with 70+ years of ageing.
It represents one used by the Luftwaffe Fallschirmjaeger from approximately 1938 on-wards and is suitably stamped with ET71 (Eisenhutten Thale) and batch number but both are obscured because of rust.
The whole helmet shows medium use and aged with apple green paint showing clearly in many areas. It has the M38 steel pattern bolts and early war chinstrap again aged and tarnished in many areas. The decals are 99% intact and shows clearly with 'yellowed' varnish, although obscured by the top paint coat.
This is not an inexpensive paint job as found on most well known auction sites - effort and time has been spent to get it as accurate as possible.
This helmet would make a fantastic item in your Fallschirmjäger collection and lets face it an original similar to this one would be GBP £12000+.
