Our Type 3 M38 Paratrooper Helmet chinstrap buckles are factory made in Germany. These chinstrap buckles were the third and final version to be worn on the M38 Helmet late WW2. It is also known as the 'toothed sliding gate' version buckle.
These are made from 2 part steel just like the originals and are the correct size and weight. They are 4 grams in weight and are approx. 27mm wide and 30mm tall. These are the buckles we use on all of our Type 3 M38 chinstraps.
All specifications are taken from the original drawings, real wartime photographs from the Bundesarchiv and original chinstraps. We started production from the ground up without using replica’s as samples, as we wanted to offer 100% accuracy.
