M1 Swivel Bale 3rd Infantry Division, Third Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment Helmet - Reproine
Store > WW2 American Helmets > US Infantry Helmets > WW2 USA M1 3rd Infantry Division Helmet
This is a 'reproine' helmet - mixture of reproduction and genuine parts. The shell is a genuine WW2 M1 Swivel Bale McCord helmet. It is a front seam, stainless rim and the paintwork is also original. We have added the the M1 chinstrap and the decals. The chinstrap is black brass which has tarnished very nicely with age.
Inside the shell there is original paintwork and rusting all original to the helmet.
The 3rd Division is the only division of the U.S. Army during World War II that fought on all European fronts, and was among the first American combat units to engage in offensive ground combat operations. The 3rd Infantry Division saw combat in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, Germany and Austria for 531 consecutive days. During the war the 3rd Infantry Division consisted of the 7th, 15th and 30th Infantry Regiments, together with supporting units.
Many restorers use paint and chemicals to give the effect of age, all our helmets are 100% natural ageing and rust so it just looks more natural and not contrived.
This helmet is a superb 3rd Infantry Division, Third Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment Helmet and would look great in any collection.
