Reproduction German U-Boat Submarine Captains Peaked cap with 70+ years of ageing and some worn and tarnished areas as worn by the Captain of a u-boat, Oberleutnant zur See - the most common u-boat commanders rank.
This museum quality cap has all the signs of a very hard life. The removable cover reveals corroded cloth in places (not seen when the cover is fitted), but this adds to the authenticity. The cap is suitable for display purposes only as it is quite fragile.
The peak, liner and chinstrap etc. all show good wear and both the inside and outside are stained and aged. Notice the gold emblem and Captains peak ranking are dark and tarnished. Notice the wear, dirt and stains particularly on the top of the cap.
The top is fully removable and it is marked EREL - Sonder Klasse - OKK - Berlin on both liner and sweat protector. It has cork cushioning under the front leather headband like many originals. This cap is made in Germany and the EREL mark is copyright making it even more exclusive. The Eagle is our museum quality item with light corrosion stains.
