German U-Boat Submarine Captains Peaked cap with 70+ years of ageing
and some worn and tarnished areas as worn by the Captain of U-566 - Hans Hornkohl.
The peak, liner and chinstrap etc. all show good wear and both the inside and outside are stained and aged. Notice the gold wreath and Captains peak ranking are dark and tarnished. Notice the wear, dirt and oil stains particularly on the top of the cap. This cap displays the 'Wolf' device for U-566 Hans Hornkohl.
The top is fully removable and it is marked EREL - Sonder Klasse - OKK - Berlin on both liner and sweat protector. This cap is made in Germany and the EREL mark is copyright today making it even more exclusive. The Eagle is our museum quality item with light to medium corrosion stains.
