This is a reproduction, medium aged, Schirmmützen crusher cap for a Waffen SS infantry unit. The makers mark says 'Verkaufsabteilung D. V. S. Berlin W. 9 Vosstr 7' and the synthetic leather sweat band is dry and ripped in places. It also has a fain 'RZM' marking on the inner liner. The cap has several green ageing worn/stains on the top.

It is a Waffen Schutzstaffel (Waffen SS), German crusher cap, made of top quality felt material and in the same method and materials as in the originals. In medium aged and used condition it is difficult to tell does not date from WW2.

The metal eagle and deaths head insignia are high quality and both show medium wear but are in excellent condition.

We have made up this cap to look like one which has been worn many times.

The white piping is dirty and green in places and very old looking. We have left the size tag on but this can easily be removed, size 58.

A genuine Waffen SS crusher cap in this condition will easily go to several thousand pounds, which is out of the price range of most average collectors. This one looks the part and is at a snip of a price.
