Refurbishment > WW1 M16 Camo Stahlhelm Refurbishment
WW1 M16 Helmet Refurbishment:
Customer supplied WW1 M16 Helmet and liner. Customer wanted a standard WWI German Camo Helmet scheme. With appropriate ageing to liner, shell and new aged chinstrap. The pictures below show the supplied helmet and liner.
The shell has corrosion in places but is fully sound. The inside is much more corroded. We estimate that this helmet has been rusting for a few years before being retrieved.
The liner is a replica and an attempt has been made to age it. It is made of some sort of soft chamois 'wool' leather.
