British WWII WRNS Second Officer Helmet Stencil
The WRNS was revived in 1939 at the beginning of WW2, with an expanded list of allowable activities, including flying transport planes.

At its peak in 1944 it had 75,000 active servicewomen. During the war there were 100 deaths. One of the slogans used in recruiting posters was "Join the Wrens—free a man for the fleet."
This stencil is suitable for hand painting. Apply the outer stencil and paint in blue. Wait to dry and then apply the inner stencil and paint in the small square box. General stencil instructions can be found on this link.
