American WW2 Airborne Helmet for Review

We were asked to review this American Airborne Helmet for authenticity - the pictures are below as is our reply!

WarHats:

Bad news for you, the bales, stencils, 'A' yokes etc. are all fake. This was never used in WW2 it is made to look like a WW2 helmet and pretty badly as well. The shell is probably from that period as may be the liner but can't tell without more pics/info. Rest assured this is a fake ww2 airborne helmet and liner.
