 Combined Operations Helmet Stencil I have now used your Combined Ops stencil and am very pleased with the result.
I found it difficult to find accurate information on the actual colours used - for the badges it varied considerably. I attach a photo of my helmet. I was pleased with how "sharp" the insignia is. I used Revell SM350 for the blue (though I think this is probably not dark enough - certainly not as dark as your illustration - but I found it difficult to find a better one in the Tamiya, Humbrol and Revell ranges), and Humbrol satin 174 for the red. Best wishes O - UK WarHats Comment - This looks incredible and as far as we can see the colours are no problem as with most helmets there were always variations. Its a great insignia. We would recommend a light rubbing down with very fine wire wool to remove the edges of the stencil. Other than this its perfect. Comments are closed.
