Dear sirs, What type of chin straps would be appropriate for the double chin straps on a model 1936 Fallschirmjaeger helmet? The ones that I am interested in are the ones that (from photos) look like the leather of the strap at each end loops directly through the slots in the shell not the later M37 style with the metal clips at the end that attach to the chinstrap rings that are riveted to the liner. From photos it looks like a pair of M35 straps would work but is that correct? Thank you very much, H Reply from WarHats.com: The M36 original version had sewn in straps, we have rigged up a copy of own they would have looked however historical info is sparce! We don't make these for sale I'm afraid due to lack of interest.
