Our Type 1 M38 Paratrooper Helmet chinstraps are hand made by a military leatherworker who aims for 100% accuracy in his work. These chinstraps were the very first version to be worn on the M38 Helmet pre-WW2 and some were also worn during WW2 even after the introduction of the second (gate buckle), version. The Type 1A was made before 16th of June 1938 and the 1B after this period up to approximately the Netherlands invasion (10th and 11th May 1940).
