WW2 German Helmet Paints:

WW2 German Helmet Paint Matt - Semi Sheen:
This is an acrylic based paint which means you can water it down with water. This paint is being sold to do one helmet but you will most likely be able to get two helmets painted from it if you apply it sparingly.
This helmet paint has been manufactured to an original WW2 specification and is probably as close as you will get to an original German WWII paint for early war helmets and reissues.
It can be hand painted using a brush or you can water it down up to 25% with tap water and use a model spray gun.
The pictures below show an original helmet being restored for a customer and in different light conditions so you can get a good feel for the quality of the paint. During WW2 the German Whermacht was not really able to produce a totally matt paint, most were semi-sheen just as in the example below. this was part of our specification during manufacture.
Because it is water based, we can send up to four of these 100ml containers worldwide which cannot be done with oil based paints. You can get instructions to apply the paint here.
